Healthcare Records Specialist
Job Description
URGENT - We are hiring 10+ temporary employees for our healthcare client located in South Portland, just down the road from the Portland Jetport. This is a great month-long temporary opportunity for qualified healthcare candidates looking to gain additional experience while searching for their next role.
Duties:
- Records Management - Sort, classify, and verify processed documents
- Perform quality assurance checks on documents imaged into Electronic Health Records
- Transfer health information from paper format to electronic format
- Process incoming fax documents
- Scan new patient records
- Preload new/existing patient records, analyze/extract specific patient information for electronic health records
- Coordinate with clinical teams to ensure patient electronic health records are current/up-to-date
- Call patients to obtain healthcare information
- Other responsibilities as directed
Requirements:
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records/eClinical is required
- Understanding of HIPAA/patient confidentiality is required
- Understanding of medical terminology is required
- RHIT credential is preferred
- Must be strong with computer and phone skills
- Must be organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with accuracy
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
