Workers Comp Paralegal
Job Description
This is a great opportunity to step up your legal career and manage cases for small group of attorneys. This workers comp group with have a support team of two paralegals to 5 attorneys. This is a highly interactive role with the medical community, witnesses, legal staff, etc. Workers comp experience necessary. Very competitive compensation and benefit package.
Partial summary:
- Work up the case, including a file summary and recommendations for the attorney.
- Meet regularly with the attorney to discuss and agree upon an action plan for each case.
- Do selective legal and medical research
- Develop medicals:, obtain existing medial reports, local medical experts, draft medical summaries.
- Interview witnesses, take statements and prepare witnesses for hearings.
