1) Remove all staples from the documents, keep the documents in the same order you find them in the manila folders and in the larger project file.
2) Set up file name on the scanner, scan each manila folder in the project file separate and send the scan file to the computer folder.
3) Save the files to the designated backup computer file.
4) Once the project file is scanned sort the keep the closing documents folder, sort the income sensitive documents (tax returns, pay stubs, bank statements) for shredding and recycle all other documents in the large recycle bins.
5) Give the closing documents folder to the loan officer.
