Role: Supervise and support the Commercial lending team in line with the Strategic Plan s objective in loan and deposit growth. Accountable for the commercial loan growth. Responsible to ensure the strategic goals of the credit union are fulfilled and in accordance with FCU established policies and procedures and compliant with NCUA, Federal and State requirements. Organize and direct a professional sales team to meet with potential business members to identify and capitalize on loan and deposit opportunities.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
45% Commercial Lending:
Provide leadership and support to the Commercial Loan Officer I and designated support staff by continuing on in a supervisory role in Business Loans. Provide leadership and support to the loan officer. Provide ongoing commercial lending training to the branch environment for cross sell opportunities.
30%Policy & Procedure:
Work directly with the CEO to achieve corporate goals in concurrence with the CFO and COO in the ongoing formulation and execution of Credit Union Policies, objectives and programs. Put forward recommendations for improvements in the lending arena including sales and marketing techniques, internal processes, product innovations and organizational structure. Responsible to ensure accuracy in loan reporting and policy and procedure integrity.
Responsible for the commercial lending team. Oversee and provide leadership to direct reports. Work closely with the team to ensure a superior level of cooperation between interrelated departments with a common goal; to generate growth. Provide support and assistance where necessary in order to meet and exceed objectives.
5%Other Duties:
Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience, Education, Interpersonal Skills & Knowledge Requirements

Experience: Two years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education: (1) A two year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.

Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others.

Knowledge Requirements: Written/verbal communication skills are critical. Functional with software packages including MS Office and core processing. Ability to motivate and influence others is a material part of this job. A significant level of obtaining cooperation internally with direct team and beyond.
