Staff Accountant
Job Description
Multi-company environment. includes diverse portfolio : aggregate sales company with excavation services , an agricultural farm, financial management , commercial and residential rental properties. . Very entrepreneurial company purchases and sells new and existing entities requiring a flexible candidate who can assume the transactions. Position offers the opportunity to grow into controllership/CFO position over time. Position reports to Controller.
Immediate responsibilities for all entities:
- Data entry for all Accounts Payable invoices (multiple companies)
- Creating Accounts Receivable invoices (HOA dues, rents and other recurring fees)
- Recoding debit card transactions (multiple companies)
- Bank recons
- Sales Tax returns (Maine only)
- Record intercompany loans
- Update cash balances
- Record Payroll transactions (Payroll is prepared by ADP, so use their reports to record expenses in ledgers of multiple companies)
- Review Balance Sheets and P&L reports for accuracy and completeness
Education Accounting degree preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
