Springborn Staffing is looking to hire a Medical Receptionist through our client, Kennebec Behavioral Health, at their Winthrop and Waterville locations. This client would preferably have a background in medical scheduling for appointments or general field of healthcare receptionist experience
Temp to Hire Position
$19/Hour
General Responsibilities include:
- Greets and arrives patients, performs registration on new patients, verifies insurance on all patients.
- Collects co-payments.
- Prepares insurance assignment form with data such as names of insurance company and policyholder, policy number, and physician diagnosis.
- Contacts insurance company to verify patient coverage and obtain information concerning extent of benefits. Posting of referrals and/or precertification information.
- Computes total bill showing amounts to be paid by insurance company and by patient.
- Answers patients' questions regarding statements and insurance coverage.
- Telephones or writes companies with unpaid insurance claims to obtain settlement of claim.
- Post all charges and payments.
- Inventories Billing Office supplies and notify manager.
- Operates Credit Card machine.
- Responsible for electronic billing and remittance.
- Reconciles charge and payment journals.
- Filing, sorting, and opening mail.
- The job holder must demonstrate current competencies applicable to job position.
- Complete end of day routines: Reconcile and secure cash, credit card, co-pays, Secure building access
- Mail is placed in mailbox
- Assists Supervisor on special assignments when needed
Schedule:
8:30am-5pm , 30 min lunch (Winthrop)
9am-5:30pm Monday-Thursday, 8:30-5pm Fridays, 30 min lunch (Waterville)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
