Accounts Payable Clerk

Job Description
Immediate temporary assignment with potential for hire.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate coding and entry into the accounting system
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues
- Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments
- Maintain accurate and organized files for all accounts payable documentation
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any billing or payment inquiries
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and SOX controls
- Assist with ad hoc projects and analysis as needed
Skills:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping
- Proficient in using accounting software, such as UltiPro or similar systems
- Experience with accounts payable processes and procedures
- Knowledge of financial concepts and ability to analyze financial data
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Proficient in 10-key typing for efficient data entry
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: From $33.00 per hour
