About the Role
Springborn Staffing is partnering with an established dental practice in Lewiston, ME, to find a highly skilled, licensed Dental Hygienist. This is an immediate, temp-to-hire opportunity designed for a dedicated clinician looking to establish a long-term home. Our client is seeking a professional who can acclimate quickly, integrate seamlessly with the existing team, and provide exceptional direct patient care. The ultimate goal is to transition the right candidate into a permanent role as swiftly as possible based on clinical fit and patient interaction.
Clinical Environment & Scheduling
The practice utilizes a highly efficient, industry-standard block scheduling model, ensuring hygienists provide focused, quality care by seeing only one patient at a time. The successful candidate must be able to work proficiently and effectively within the following time allocations:
- Regular Cleanings: 60 minutes
- Periodontal Maintenance Cleanings: 70 minutes
- Gingival Scaling: 90 minutes
- Two-Quadrant Scaling and Root Planing: 2 hours
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care, including regular cleanings, periodontal maintenance, and complex scaling procedures.
- Manage patient appointments efficiently within the allocated block schedule without compromising quality of care.
- Maintain strict adherence to all workplace safety guidelines and handle protected health information (PHI) with absolute confidentiality.
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism in all interactions with patients, the dental team, and practice management.
Job Requirements
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Dental Hygienist license in the State of Maine.
- Credentials: Fully credentialed and legally eligible to perform all clinical duties required for the role.
- Compliance: Willingness to undergo thorough credential verification and comprehensive background screening.
- Experience: Proven ability to proficiently manage a full daily schedule while upholding the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient safety.
