Litigation Case Management Specialist

In this role you would be empowered to be the primary owner of a clients case, responsible for working hand-in-hand with the attorney and the client to build out the facts and collect the evidence and records in the case. You will help in preparing the case for a demand, or preparing the case for litigation if it is unable to resolve in the pre-litigation phase. You will be the client’s primary point of contact, obtain periodic updates from the clients, give the clients progress updates, help to obtain experts with the attorney, and meet routinely with the attorney to provide updates on where the case is and when it will be ready for issuing a demand or negotiating a resolution. As you gain experience you will then be able to be a part of the negotiation process and work with the attorney to develop the case theories in each of the cases you work on, and gather the evidence to support those theories.

Job Description: As a Litigation Support Specialist (Case Management), you will:
- Case Management: Manage cases from intake through the demand phase and prepare them for litigation. This involves managing litigation cases from intake through the demand phase. If the case does not resolve, you will prepare and transition the file to the litigation paralegal for further administration, while continuing to support the case as needed.
- Litigation Support: Work as part of the attorney’s trial team to prepare for trials or administrative litigation, which may include attending court and attending trials to provide administrative support.
- Scheduling: Coordinate appointments, meetings, and deadlines, obtain client updates and handle routine client calls or communications with case updates.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage correspondence, prepare documents, and maintain case files, gather evidence and coordinate closely with the attorney to complete the tasks required to thoroughly investigate potential claims.
- Client Management: Facilitate communication with clients, gather updates, and ensure their needs are met.
- Secretarial Duties: Type and format documents, organize files, manage phone calls, and perform other office support tasks. Assist with attorney scheduling, meetings, client calls, and formal litigation scheduling.
- Investigative Role: Gather information, problem-solve, and support case development, at the direction of the attorney.
- Technology: Utilize AI interfaces and systems within the office, and be comfortable with technology.

Preferences:
- Service Industry, administrative support/secretarial experience preferred, but not required
- Bachelors Degree preferred, but not required
- Medical field experience preferred, but not required
