Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Temporary Custodian to join our client's maintenance team in Portland. This role is essential in ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of our premises. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in various cleaning and custodial tasks, with the ability to perform duties efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a clean and safe environment while gaining valuable experience in custodial services.

This is an immediate temporary 6-8 week assignment in downtown Portland with easy access to parking.

Duties

  • Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across all facility areas
  • Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs and upkeep of equipment
  • Ensure all work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and organized manner
  • Assist with receiving and processing incoming shipments

Job Requirements

Experience

  • Prior janitorial, custodial, or maintenance experience required
  • Strong attention to detail and communication
  • Ability to work independently without supervision
  • English speaking and reading abilities in order to communicate with office staff
