Springborn Staffing is partnering with a well-established boutique CPA firm in the Greater Portland area to hire a Senior Tax Accountant. This is an opportunity to join a close-knit team that provides personalized tax services to individuals and small businesses throughout Maine.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $70,000 - $80,000 annually, based on experience.
• Bonus Opportunity: Annual discretionary bonus.

Schedule

• Full-time, permanent position.
• Monday through Friday, typically 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Hybrid work arrangement available.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of public accounting tax experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Experience preparing federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Strong understanding of tax compliance and tax research.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA license or CPA candidate.
• Experience with CCH Axcess or similar tax software.
• Experience working with small businesses, trusts, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals.
