The Primary responsibility is to provide leadership and strategic alignment for the manufacturing area. This position directly oversees activities in the manufacturing area, optimizing resources to maximize operations and contribute to business profitability.
The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for supporting the performance of various processes and evaluations through team deployment, cross training, trouble-shooting issues, and at times equipment operation and material handling. Individual should be able to work independently as well as in a team setting. Individual must have the capability to learn multiple, diverse processes and procedures. Must have the ability to read, interpret and execute technical instructions, procedures, drawings, manuals, work orders and travelers, as well as document-applied processes.

  • Supervise the department including determination of work schedules and priorities, performance evaluation, training and cross training opportunities, administration of disciplinary actions, hiring, termination;
  • Works closely with management to execute the production schedule as defined by production planning;
  • Develops a knowledge base on processes and materials that supports the leadership of crew performance in multiple and diverse production areas and across sites;
  • Recognizes and solves day to day problems / issues;
  • Re-deploys resources as workload requires;
  • Acts as a resource for quick response on quality issues;
  • Supports Safety program and all EHS related objectives/initiatives; and maintain a safe work environment;
  • Accountable for compliance with and enforcement of all EHS standards procedures;
  • Believes and advocates for continuous improvement; Actively participate in team s Continuous Improvement, Lean 6S/Kaizen events;
  • Responsible for recognizing technical issues and alerting proper personnel;
  • Interface with pertinent production/scheduling/logistics systems in a timely manner including GEMBA board;
  • Act as a coach and leader for the team while holding them accountable for all expectations;
  • Meets or exceeds quality requirements/standards in manufacturing area;
  • Develops and/or revises standard operational and working practices;
  • Monitors department to ensure compliance with standards;
  • Determines root causes to problems and develops corrective actions;
  • Completes projects, goals and objectives in timely manner
