Job Description
Candidate must be available for the following schedule.
Sun Mon 2 PM to 10 PM;
Tues and Wed OFF ;
Thurs 6 AM to 2 PM
Thurs 10 PM to Fri 6 AM ;
Fri 10 PM to Sat 6 AM
Collection Supervisor coordinates and supervises the complete operation of the toll plazas to provide accountability of revenues, security of funds and facilities, and proper allocation of personnel resources, and directly supervises subordinate employees, including Toll Collectors and Toll Plaza Supervisors. The Superintendent will occasionally operate a working lane to provide necessary assistance, e.g. during breaks, increased traffic density, andemergency situations, and will properly classify vehicles, process transactions and collect tolls with accuracy and speed.
College degree and at least five (5) years relevant supervisory experience. Combined relevant education, training, and experience may be considered.
Supervisory experience with cash handling on a computerized system involving collection, retail, banking, or other related field involving the collection of cash and preparation of change.
Some of the duties as follows.
Prepares weekly timesheets and accurately enters employees time worked into the PC Timesheet program on a timely basis. ·
Prepares, reviews and supervises toll plaza schedules and assigns personnel among toll plazas in accordance with operational requirements.
Drafts staffing and break schedules, assigns lane responsibilities, determines the need for and calls-in additional staffing in response to traffic conditions and unscheduled absences.
Approves vacation schedules.
Applies, and assists Toll Collectors in interpretation of, rules and regulations governing use of turnpike and collection procedures set forth in the Fare Collection Manual as well as the rules and regulations governing the turnpike.
May train/retrain subordinate employees in performing Toll Collector duties and responsibilities.
Must have 3 years of supervisory experience and cash handling.
